Sion (SIR / LSGS), in the Rhône valley, is an arrival option for Zermatt. Instrument approaches require an airport-specific crew qualification. We check with the operator whether the aircraft, crew and conditions suit your journey.
The approach, handling and return arrangements are confirmed for your dates. If weather prevents landing at Sion, a suitable alternate airport must be used and onward travel adjusted. A helicopter is not a guaranteed alternative in poor weather.
From Sion, we assess a helicopter to Zermatt heliport or an onward road transfer. The road option includes a handover at Täsch or an authorised taxi service. The final journey to your hotel is agreed with the property.

A helicopter transfer to Zermatt depends on weather and daylight. We assess it through local partners while discussing an alternative on the ground. If the helicopter cannot fly, the drive and handover at Täsch are adjusted accordingly. For larger amounts of luggage, our partners can arrange separate transport, with its delivery time agreed independently of your flight.

After your private flight, the Matter valley still lies ahead. We compare Sion and Geneva as arrival airports and plan the connection around your accommodation. In suitable conditions, a helicopter can take you to Zermatt heliport, followed by the agreed transfer to your hotel.
Zermatt is car-free. By road, we plan via Täsch, continuing by train or an authorised taxi. We coordinate a hotel pick-up for the final stretch within the village. Before you fly, you know where you will change transport and who will take care of your bags.

Explore aircraft →Send us your luggage list, including dimensions and the number of ski bags. We check space in the private aircraft and helicopter separately. Weight and volume may call for dedicated luggage transport.
Explore aircraft →For a long flight, we select the cabin around the space and rest you need. Aircraft type, payload and conditions determine the suitable arrival airport. The onward journey is then timed around your confirmed landing.

For the private aircraft, we plan a suitable arrival airport such as Sion or Geneva. Zermatt heliport is used for the helicopter connection. We do not offer jet landings in the resort itself.
We plan an alternative on the ground and coordinate the connection at Täsch, including the return journey to the airport. If weather also prevents use of the chosen arrival airport, a suitable alternate landing must first be confirmed.
General road access ends at Täsch. From there, you can continue by train or an authorised taxi. We agree the last part of the journey with your hotel, for example by electric vehicle.
We check against the specific aircraft. Passenger numbers, weights and bag dimensions matter. If needed, we plan separate luggage transport with an agreed delivery time. Keep anything you will need immediately on arrival with you.
Share your dates, departure point and hotel. We will plan the private flight and onward journey to Zermatt, with a weather alternative discussed in advance.
