Sion (SIR / LSGS), in the Rhône valley, is an arrival option for Valais. Instrument approaches require an airport-specific crew qualification. The aircraft operator checks aircraft suitability and the conditions applicable to the flight.
Approach qualification, weather and operating hours are checked before confirmation. We coordinate handling and international arrivals with the operator and ground team. If conditions prevent a flight into Sion, a suitable alternate airport must be used. We therefore discuss the onward journey from an alternate during planning.
A chauffeur can take you to Crans-Montana. For car-free Zermatt, we plan a helicopter connection or onward travel via Täsch. A helicopter needs suitable weather and a confirmed landing site; a direct hotel landing is not assumed. Ski luggage and any separate baggage transport are agreed with our partners.

If conditions prevent a landing at Sion, a suitable alternate airport is needed. We discuss options such as Geneva and the different onward journey from there. For Zermatt, we also plan the final stage into the car-free village, via Täsch when travelling by road. For Crans-Montana, collection is arranged around your accommodation. Helicopter and luggage transfers are assessed separately.
Enquire about your flight and onward journey →Instrument approaches require an airport-specific qualification. The operator checks the requirements for the planned flight and whether the crew and aircraft meet them. A jet category alone does not establish suitability.
No. Weather and the approach conditions applicable to the flight may prevent a landing. A suitable alternate airport therefore belongs in the plan. Geneva may be an option; availability and the longer onward journey are assessed separately.
We can arrange a chauffeur through local partners or assess a weather-dependent helicopter connection. The road alternative for Zermatt runs via Täsch, followed by a transfer into the car-free village. We agree the journey through to your hotel, ski luggage and any separate baggage transport in advance.
